"I am inspired by water, as an element in itself and as a force that is challenged by swimmers. I live by the sea and every day I see its constantly changing moods. The beauty and infinite colours seen on the surface mask the power and strength just beneath the surface. ".
Marie Sheridan is a Dublin artist, who finds finds inspiration from the constantly changing interaction of sky and sea in the West of Ireland and by her home at Seapoint, as well as from the depth and range of colour in everyday objects. She explores and develops themes in her series paintings - her latest are the Underwater and Gala sequences, in which her fascination with water and its energy can be seen.
